Background: Niseko is a ski resort town in Hokkaido
Logistics: Niseko is about a 3 hour bus ride one way from Sapporo Station to Niseko with a discount if you get the roundtrip ticket. There are also buses directly from the Shin-Chitose Airport that will go directly to Niseko.
There are a few ski rental places that you can pick from and different options for ski lessons. We picked Rhythm Hirafu – Niseko to rent our gear and get lessons. There are also free buses that will take you around the town and many hotels also offer complimentary shuttle bus services.
We stayed in the Hirafu Town area and went skiing on the Grand Hirafu. There are convenience stores and restaurants to grab food.
